Types of Consultations Offered:
- On-Site consultations may be scheduled at your farm with your veterinarian and/or farrier.
- Consultations by email and phone.
- Preventative Consultation to address management.
- Referrals may come from veterinarians, farriers, or horse owners.
- Second opinion case work.
- On-Site coaching with veterinarian and/or farrier, can include case work.
How to order a Consultation
We will require the following be emailed to: dickmansmann@gmail.com
1. Filled out Consult Form and please attach lab reports or any other important information. Link below to download the form.
2. Quality photos including the whole horse standing squarely on a solid, level surface with all four feet completely visible.
(not in grass or deep footing, example photo on the left)
3. Photos from different angles of the defect(s) in question with camera touching the ground and 90 degrees from problem.
4. In most cases, current podiatry radiographs, each of the 4 feet, labeled and emailed as jpegs.
Consultation Appointment
A consultation type and appointment will be scheduled once the initial assessment is conducted.
Consultation Fees
$200.00
The Consultation must be paid in full at the time you submit your Consultation Form.
Consultation Fees begin at $200 and include an emailed potential treatment plan with a sketch-over-radiograph and/or hoof picture.
For telephone calls to owners, trainers, veterinarians, and/or farriers there can be an additional $50 fee per call. I often send a follow up email to see how your horse is doing, for which there is no fee.
If cases are or become more complicated and require more time thus increased fees, you will be notified prior to any additional fees charged.
